Take time to listen to this beautiful music

I have purchased exactly 2 CDs in 10 years.

The reason for this is simple. I hate CDs. I also have access to the internet and until fairly recently heavily exploited the idea of 'free' music.

The two CD's I have bought are as follows:

What's Past Is Prologue by No Contest
What's Past is Prologue by No Contest
A punky-metal creation by a local band that I know. Well I know three out of the four members of the band and work in the same building as two of them!

They're nothing if not a hard working outfit and though I would never profess to 'love' their music, they are a talented bunch and their gigs at the local (only only) live music venue 'The Matrix' are always a good do.

You can find out more about them by clicking this link.

They have a number of live dates coming up and a Facebook page.

I Am Mortal, But Was Fiend by Sioum
The second CD I bought is I am Mortal, But Was Fiend by Sioum - and testament to the strength of this release is that you can download it for FREE anyway!

I find this entire album inspirational and moving in a way words don't adequately describe. Its totally sound scape musical concept - and new metal with a hint of electronic mastery. Indeed,  the opening track is just so subtle, heartfelt and moving - it really is one of my favourite CDs of all time. The purchase of this cost me £11 and that included shipping from the U.S. Such great value for beautiful music.

Please visit the Sioum page - I intend to run a one man campaign to get them to the UK for a live show. Until then... go listen!
